About Me
Shante was born and raised in London, England. Shante began singing, dancing and acting in school plays at the age of three. However, encouraged by her family, at age eight she was enrolled into Sylvia Young Theatre School for Musical Theatre training and given private voice lessons. She has had the honour of attending many other theatre schools such as West End Kids and Celebrity Talent Academy. During High School, Shante studied Drama and Theatre studies whilst being involved in Gospel choir and an R&B band.
Shante graduated from the University of South Florida majoring in Theatre. During her time with USF's Theatre program she was in several shows including Sweet Charity (Charity), Violet (Musical Hall Singer) and Rhinoceros (Gentleman). She graduated with honours and received the USF Lily Award Scholarship for Theatre students based on her talent, merit and ability.
Shante is extremely honoured to be an Equity Membership Candidate and is very excited to continue auditioning, working and performing where she is currently based in New Jersey and New York, for the foreseeable future.
Shante's love for performance is also fueled by her passion for creative writing and DIY's. She hopes to work worldwide over many medium's of art including theatre and film. Shante wishes to exercise her imagination and create magical stories that can grow into much more.
